Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

White Plains is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and White Plains follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The hotel itself, and the rooms are fantastic. Our room was huge, and the interior design was amazing. The bathroom was huge, and included a tub. The location is great: restaurants, bars, and stores are all in walking distance. The are is clean, and not overrun. It is a relaxing New York experience. However, the service is disappointing. We had to wait 1 hour for our checkin which is ridiculous. Then the room keys didn't work, and we had to go back to the front desk. The next morning at 10 am, they knocked on our door and asked when we are checking out, when our checkout was at 12 pm.

This would be a very nice hotel with a little more attention to detail. The rooms are nice with a luxury vibe and bed is comfortable. However, towels were badly frayed, light bulb in bathroom was out making it difficult to do makeup in the morning, sheets smelled vaguely people-y like they werenβt washed well enough, and couch was covered in stains. These are small things with an easy fix but together they add up.

This was my first time staying in the area, and I had a great experience. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to all of my requests. They made me feel like a VIP. The buffet-style breakfast was excellent and well worth the price. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the valet parking was very convenient. The only minor issues were that the shower wasn't as hot as I would have liked, and the shower ceiling could use a little touch-up since part of it wasn't tiled. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I stay at the Opus monthly for work, and itβs truly become my home away from home. The hotel is always spotless, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff consistently goes above and beyond. A special thank you to Vanessa, who has become such a friendly and familiar face over the years. I always LOVES seeing her at check-in after a long travel day. Little touches like that make all the difference. Highly recommend.

From the moment we walked in, The Opus Westchester delivered exactly what youβd hope for from a property in the Autograph Collection. Thoughtful design, an atmosphere that feels both polished and welcoming, and a level of service that actually lives up to the five-star designation. The property itself is stunning. The lobby sets an immediate tone of sophistication without feeling cold, the rooms were immaculate and well-appointed, and the whole experience felt curated rather than cookie-cutter. But the real standout of our stay was Vanessa at the front desk. We were traveling from out of state with our kids, our son is heading to university nearby so this trip was a big deal for our family, and Vanessa made it feel special in a way we honestly didnβt expect. She was so thoughtful and warm with the kids, the kind of genuine care you simply canβt train someone to have. She made all of us feel truly welcome, not just like another check-in, and handled everything with a calm professionalism that reminded us why weβve been loyal Bonvoy members for as long as we have. Marriott, please recognize this woman. As long-standing Bonvoy members who have stayed at properties across the portfolio
